Economic Development

Sussex County Economic Development is part of the Sussex County government. Its primary mission is to create jobs and stimulate economic development through new business recruitment, job retention and business growth. To help accomplish this mission, Sussex County offers economic development options for both new and existing businesses, including economic incentives and low-interest development loans.

To learn more about the County's options and to apply, a business needs to:

1. Review the Economic Development Options page;
2. Submit a preliminary application;
3. Make a presentation to the Economic Development Committee;
4. Receive final approval from County Council.
