County government offices are closed today, Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, due to the winter storm that has affected the region.
The limited state of emergency and travel advisory that had been in effect during the storm has been lifted by Delaware Gov. Jack Markell. However, while Delaware Department of Transportation road crews continue plowing operations, blowing and drifting snow will be a significant issue. In some cases, snow is quickly re-covering roads. Motorists traveling today and this evening should use caution as black ice and snow could be present on area roads.
