Sussex County government offices closed Thursday, Jan. 4, due to winter weather

Due to a major winter storm, County offices are closed Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018.

A blizzard warning is in effect for Sussex County, Delaware, through Thursday, Jan. 4. Forecasters are predicting as much as 11 inches of snow and winds as high as 40 mph. This is expected to create blowing and drifting snow, and may cause white-out conditions. Citizens are urged to avoid travel during and immediately after the storm.
