Sussex County Council honored the state champion Cape Henlopen High School field hockey team during the regular weekly meeting Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, in Georgetown. The team won the title in November, capping a 16-2 season. The Cape Henlopen High School field hockey team’s accomplishment is the sixth state title for the school’s field hockey program in the past seven years, and eighth overall for the school's field hockey program since 1979.
