What is CERT?

The Community Emergency Response Team.  Learn how to be better prepared for an emergency to help your family, neighbors, and community.

The primary purpose of a CERT team is to help your community become more resilient during emergencies. The student learns how to be prepared to either evacuate or stay-in-place.  They will also learn how to assist their family and neighbors in an emergency.

Topics include Disaster Preparedness, CERT Organization, Disaster Medical Operations, Disaster Psychology, Fire Safety and Utility Controls, Light Search and Rescue, and Terrorism.
